The Interventional Radiology Department is actually opening a new clinic at Atlanta Health Sciences Medical Center and also wants to make sure everyone knows about it.
“We’re very looking forward to the options,” Area Main Jay Radhakrishnan said. “Thus giving patients and also physicians extra options for therapy which have typically required surgical treatment.”
The board-licensed, fellowship-educated interventional radiologists that employees the clinic use imaging methods such as X-sun rays, CT and ultrasound examination to help diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. The technology permits them to percutaneously deal with disorders utilizing minimally invasive techniques.

“Many people think that radiologists simply sit in dark rooms and read X-sun rays,” Dr. Radhakrishnan said. “And while we all do that, we also perform a lot more, as we tend to be hands on using the individual and methods.”
Atlanta Wellness Sciences Medical Center presently has three full time interventional radiologists- Drs Greg Bowers, Jay Radhakrishnan and Eran Rotem.
“We now have were built with a 30 % increase in methods from where it was this past year,” Radhakrishnan mentioned.
