HTC improvement with ‘HTC Holiday’

Another Monday morning, another leaked photo of a prototype smartphone. Muster your flagging interest as we point you in the direction of the Holiday, HTC’s latest iPhone challenger.

The above pre-release snapshot was, according to a thread on XDA Developers, posted online by an anonymous Craigslist user who snapped up the phone after it appeared for sale via the infamous classified ads service.

Although it’s difficult to discern whether the phone is genuine without accompanying video—which is surprisingly absent—it certainly looks much like the current crop of Holiday images circulating on the Net.

Whenever the HTC Holiday does actually arrive, we can expect a smartphone slab boasting a 4.5-inch qHD touchscreen (960×540), a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, front and rear cameras (1.3 and 8.0 mega pixels), and version 2.3.4 of Google Android.

If the prototype is indeed a test phone liberated from HTC’s labs, it’s worth noting that the inclusion of a ‘myAT&T’ application on its home screen suggests it will be carried by American telecoms giant AT&T. Something to bear in mind.
