Good news for Android fans, the sleek Samsung and built Android phone Google Nexus S will finally be available on At&T network on July 24. Those who can’t wait until Sunday, can pre-order now via Best Buy. Google Nexus S costs just $99 with a two-year contract. Compared to Google’s first Nexus S smartphone from T-Mobile, which was released last December for $199.99, the new Nexus S’ price is quite competitive.

Even though there are some shortcomings, such as the lack of expandable memory, it’s still quite appealing to smartphone lovers.

Let’s take a look at its specification : Nexus S runs on Android 2.3, has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display (Super active-matrix organic LED), 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 5-megapixel camera in the rear and a VGA camera in the front for video chat and supports NFC technology.

Google Nexus S also features the most up-to-date Google mobile apps, such as Google Earth, Google Maps with Navigation, Google Talk with video chat, Google Voice and Voice Actions. In addition, users can access more than 250,000 apps in Android Market.

Beside all the above features, the standard wireless options – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS – can also be found in the smartphone. However, be warned – Google Nexus S supports 3G only and if 4G’s your style, give this smartphone a pass.
