The Live with Walkman, The New White SE Presenting

Sony Ericsson has announced a new Android-powered smartphone with Walkman branding called the Live with Walkman. The Live with Walkman features Android 2.3 Gingerbread and dedicated Walkman music features. The Live with Walkman is a standard slate device, with a 3.2-inch, HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) display and a 1GHz processor. It has a dedicated Walkman button that instantly launches the music player, and the Live with Walkman features integration with Sony’s Qrocity music service and Facebook for greater music discovery. The Live with Walkman also sports Sony’s xLoud technology for enhanced audio output.

The Live with Walkman measures 56.5mm x 106mm x 14.2mm (2.2in x 4.2in x 0.56in) and weighs 115g (4oz). It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash that can record 720p (1280 x 720 pixel) HD video. It also features a VGA front-facing camera that is compatible with Skype video calling. A 1200mAh battery provides almost 7 hours of talk time on 3G networks, or over 35 days of standby time according to Sony Ericsson. The Live with Walkman supports microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity, and has 320MB of internal storage. A 2GB card is supplied in the box.

Sony Ericsson will be releasing the Live with Walkman in global markets in Q4 of this year. It will have versions that support 3G on the 850/1900/2100MHz bands, as well as versions that support the 900/2100MHz bands.
